  • A quick recap of last week’s lesson.
  • Reverse engineering a roadmap, to get you where you want to go, with the most direct route.
  • Step 3: The Focus – Or The One Minute Elevator Pitch, an improvement on the Mission Statement. It’s accurately describing in about sixty seconds what your company does and what you’re about. 1) What is the pain or fear in your market, that your company addresses? 2) How are you uniquely qualified to solve this problem? 3) What is the main benefit that you give? 4) What action do you want them to take?
  • Some tips for Step 3: Be direct, clear and concise, and don’t use industry jargon, be motivating and be prepared.
  • Step 4: The Swot – Looking at your business’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Step 5: The Operation – Keeping things strong and sturdy in each area of your business and keeping everything in balance.
  • Step 6: The Process – Creating systems and processes that are necessary to build your company and run it efficiently, not just relying on one or two people- or only you! This is working on your business- not just working in it.
  • Step 7: The Action –  Concentrating on the one thing that’s going to make a real difference in your business. What’s the one thing you need to focus on right now? 
  • Step 8: The View – What does it look like when you get there? Do you like what you see? Taking a step back and looking at where you’ve landed. Being prepared, so that you can enjoy it when you finally get there.
